Announces Partnership with University of North Florida
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (August 15, 2005) — The Vision Care Institute™ of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. (TVCI) today, announced an educational partnership with the University of North Florida (UNF).
Working with the philosophy department of UNF, TVCI will develop an Ethics of the Practice of Optometry program to become part of the curriculum for visiting optometry students. “The relationship will benefit UNF students by exposing them to ethical issues facing eye care practitioners and facilitating discussion and resolution of these critical practice issues,” says Dr. Howard B. Purcell, O.D., F.A.A.O., senior director, TVCI.
The mission of The Vision Care Institute™ is to help prepare students for their careers as eye care professionals.
