DID YOU KNOW

Some eye care professionals consider astigmatic correction at -0.75D not worthwhile in contact lenses, but patients do notice – and prefer – the difference. Be sure to present ACUVUE® Brand TORIC lenses as an option to low astigmats.

TORIC Peer-To-Peer Briefing

Past experience may tell you that toric lenses can be challenging to fit properly, particularly the first time you work with a patient. Less so with ACUVUE® Brand TORIC Contact Lenses. Among other innovations, scribe marks at three o’clock and nine o’clock, separated by 10-degree increments, make observing the amount of rotation and the degree of orientation much easier to determine.

To learn more about ACUVUE® Brand TORIC, take a few minutes to view our interactive professional briefing. You’ll hear about our proprietary dual thin zone design, rotation and stability and much more.

Fitting Tip

Rotation of higher cylinder powers compromises visual acuity more than rotation of lower cylinder powers. For example, a patient with a 0.75D cylinder power can tolerate up to 20 degrees of rotation without vision being affected. Dual thin zone lenses will often stabilize in patients who have failed with prism-ballasted lenses.
